Skillet Fried Potatoes
This skillet fried potatoes recipe is a family favorite! It's delicious, vegan, easy and quick to make. Made with halved raw potatoes and margarine and seasoned with salt and freshly ground pepper. Makes a perfect side dish or snack.
Servings: 6 Servings
- 12 medium potatoes
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into halves. Heat half of margarine in the skillet over medium heat. Once the margarine has melted fill the skillet with potatoes with the cut side facing down. Set aside the remaining potatoes. Brown the potatoes for 5 minutes (without touching them!). After turn them, add the remaining margarine and potatoes. Let cook for 10 minutes. Turn the potatoes once again and let cook for another 10 minutes. Turn the potatoes, season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Cover, switch off the heat and let rest for 10 minutes.Enjoy!!
- Feel free to use sunflower oil instead of margarine.
