Ingredients
200g (7.1 oz)sweetened condensed milkchilled
400 ml (13.5 fl.oz/ 1 ⅔ cups) whipping creamwell chilled
1vanilla bean
Instructions
Using the tip of the knife split the vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out the vanilla seeds and mix them with condensed milk. In a jar whip the very well chilled whipping cream until light and fluffy. Add whipped cream to a bowl with condensed milk and vanilla mixture and mix gently, until you have a homogeneous mixture. Put the cream in an empty plastic container, Smooth with a spoon or spatula and cover. Put in the freezer for at least 7 hours. Remove from the freezer and let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy just like that, with fruits of your choice or with chocolate tart.
Notes
If you don't have a plastic container (which makes it easier to remove the ice cream), you can also use a bread tin lined with a cling film.
Hint: If you don’t have access to vanilla bean, try to use 2- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract. This will not taste the same as when you’re using vanilla bean, but it’s a great alternative.
