First of all soak bread slices in the water until softened. In the meantime, rinse fresh parsley and oregano, pat dry with paper towels and cut into small pieces. Peel and finely chop garlic and onion as well.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the skillet and sauté the onion and garlic for about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
Using your hands, squeeze out all the excess moisture from bread slices that you previously soaked.
In a large bowl combine ground beef, bread, salt, cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg, herbs, egg and cooled sauteed onion and garlic. Mix well with your hands. Season with pepper. Take half of the meat mixture and divide it into 4 cutlet-shaped patties. Divide feta cheese into 4 cubes and put a block on top of each patty. Using the remaining beef mixture cover the patties. Then preheat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F).
Heat the remaining oil in the same skillet that you previously used and sear the patties for 2 minutes on each side over medium high heat. Put the skillet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes remove the skillet from the oven and serve immediately.
